4 Tough Ladies Band Together to Fight Off Attempted Robber: 'Yeah! Women Power!'

It happened at a Washington D.C., take out restaurant.

An attempted robber in Washington D.C., failed to get what he was after this week thanks to several brave, tenacious women.

Surveillance footage taken at Tony's Breakfast on Tuesday shows what cops say was a thief's attempt to snatch the restaurant's cash at about 6 a.m.

But four female employees weren't having it.

"We were trying basically to protect each other," Kay Aimes, one of the four workers, told WUSA

The women can be seen in the video beating on the suspect's head as he lunged over the counter to grab their cash drawer.

Aimes' fellow employees, Sandra Andino, Justine Choe and Kelly Shar Khuu, managed to hold on to the drawer.

After submitting to his defeat, the suspect fled with just $30.

"He didn't get a chance to take the register because all four of us were holding it," Aimes said. "Yeah! Women Power!"

Washington Metropolitan Police are asking anyone who thinks they recognize the suspect to call them at (202) 727-9099 or send a text to 50411.
