The women of Team USA hockey will bring home the gold.

With another day of the Pyeongchang Winter Games complete, more Americans will arrive home with precious medals.

The men's curling team won America's first ever curling gold after beating Sweden 10-7.

It came a day after women's hockey made top news after the team took gold for the first time in 20 years by beating out favorites to win, Team Canada.

Lindsay Vonn missed out on gold in what was likely her final alpine ski event in a Winter Games. Instead, the veteran skier took the bronze behind silver medalist Ragnhild Mowinckel of Norway and gold medalist Sofia Goggia of Italy.

In another, more fortunate turn, American women Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall made history when they took gold in the team sprint freestyle cross-country ski relay--a first ever for Team USA.

The Olympic Games kicked off in Pyeongchang Feb. 9 as countries began vying for the coveted gold in all the major winter sports. The Olympics wrap up Feb. 25.

Team USA won its first gold medal in snowboarding Feb. 10 when Red Gerard, at just 17, came from the back of the pack to take first place in the slopestyle competition final.

American snowboarder Jamie Anderson soon followed up Gerard's success by defending her Sochi gold, taking top honors for Team USA in the female slopestyle finals on Feb. 11.

That same day, Team USA men's and women's figure skaters brought home bronze with the help of Mirai Nagasu's historic first successful triple axel in a women's Olympic competition.

Snowboarder Chloe Kim, 17, from California, won gold in the halfpipe event, while fellow snowboarder Shaun White, 31, later won gold in the male halfpipe event. His medal was Team USA's 100th gold in Winter Olympics history.
