The big winners of the night were Miley Cyrus, High School Musical 3 and Selena Gomez. Gomez was at a restaurant with her cast mates when she learned she’d won Favorite TV Actress. The star of Disney's The Wizards of Waverly Place posted her acceptance speech on YouTube.
As expected, singer Chris Brown was a no-show. He withdrew his name from consideration as Favorite Male Singer after his arrest for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna. Jesse McCartney went on to receive top honors in the category.
