An eight-time Emmy Award winner and an Alfred I. Dupont Award recipient, Matt Meagher continues to bring his trademark tradition of excellence to Inside Edition's investigative unit. Known for a tough, aggressive style, Meagher has been with Inside Edition since its debut in 1989.

Meagher travels the globe uncovering consumer scams and exposing safety issues. This season The National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators presented him with a lifetime achievement award.

His hard-hitting investigative reports result in action. This past season, in a shocking hidden camera report, he documented the deceptive sales tactics used against the elderly by salespeople for Craftmatic Adjustable Bed. This story prompted Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill to call for an investigation by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Also this season Mothers Against Drunk Driving presented Meagher with a national award for his story on binge drinking by teenagers at prom parties.

In addition to his award-winning consumer and investigative reports, Meagher is often sent by Inside Edition to the hot spots of the world. He has reported from Lebanon, Israel, Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan and was embedded with the U.S. Marines during the invasion of Iraq.

Meagher's work for Inside Edition has earned him many prestigious honors, including the George Polk Award, National Headliner Awards, an Overseas Press Club Citation, Deadline Club Awards and Sigma Delta Chi Awards.

Before coming to Inside Edition in 1989, Meagher was an investigative reporter at local network affiliates in Tampa, St. Louis and Boston.
