Megan Alexander joined Inside Edition in fall of 2007 and covers everything from crime stories to the latest fashion trends to what the stars are up to. Alexander has a knack for putting people at ease while entertaining and informing the public about the stories of the day. Alexander also frequently appears on CNN Headline News' Showbiz Tonight as a guest commentator.
Born and raised in Seattle, she attended King's High School and was actively involved with the performing arts and musical theatre, singing and performing with a group called "Living Faith." Her first broadcasting job began with a classical music station in Santa Barbara, and then she headed to the music city of Nashville, where she worked in radio varying from Christian/Gospel, Pop and Country music. Alexander debuted on television as part of the cast of Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17. She worked as a traffic reporter for MetroNetworks for two years. While in Nashville, Alexander hosted a teen show for LifeWay Christian Resources called "Fuel." She also appears in country music artist Josh Turner's music video "What it Ain't" on CMT. Her film credits include the lead in the independent film "Something to Prove," and she wrote the theme song for the indie film "Heaven Cent."
Today, Alexander is a regular contributing writer for NSIDE Business Journal and pens their "Business Coach" section. She emcees countless charity events and seminars around the country for organizations like Girls Quest, Girls Inc. and Wings. Alexander and her husband live in New York City, with her adored golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix, Indiana. Megan is proud to host the ICM Awards and be a part of a show that encourages family-friendly, inspirational music and programming.
