Megan Alexander joined Inside Edition in fall of 2007 and covers everything from crime stories to the latest fashion trends to what the stars are up to. One of her favorite assignments in the Super Bowl, which she has covered 5 times for the show. Alexander has a knack for putting people at ease while entertaining and informing the public about the stories of the day. Alexander also frequently appears on CNN Headline News’ “Showbiz Tonight” and the Wendy Williams show as a guest commentator.

In Summer 2014, Megan was named the Special Correspondent for CBS “Thursday Night Football,” covering eight NFL games for all the CBS local stations around the country.

Born and raised in Seattle, she attended King's High School and was actively involved with the performing arts with a singing group called “Living Faith.” Her first broadcasting job began with a classical music station in Santa Barbara, and then she headed to Nashville, where she worked in radio for Metro Networks. Alexander debuted on television as part of the cast of “Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17.” While in Nashville, Alexander hosted a teen show for LifeWay Christian Resources called “Fuel.” She appears in country music artist Josh Turner’s music video “What it Ain’t” on CMT.

Megan also has a passion for film and theater. She appears in the feature film “Redeemed”, out in theaters Fall 2014, and had a small part in the family movie “Space Warriors”. She wrote the theme song for the indie film “Heaven Cent.”

Before coming to Inside Edition, Megan worked as a Reporter/Anchor at KENS5 in San Antonio, TX.

She also co-hosted the morning show “Great Day SA” at KENS5, and founded and hosted the lifestyle show “Mi Casa Make-over”..

She emcees countless charity events and seminars around the country for organizations like Girls Quest, Girls Inc. and NAM. Megan hosts the ICM awards from Nashville each year, a show that encourages family-friendly, inspirational music and programming. Megan founded the Enlighten Film Club, based in NYC, in 2013. She is a member of the Country Music Association. She and her husband are the proud parents of a baby boy and dog named Indiana.
