Ann Mercogliano



Ann Mercogliano joined INSIDE EDITION as Correspondent in August 2015. She is a graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While attending GW, Ann interned at The White House Office of Media Affairs. She also held an internship at ABC's “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” and during the summer of her junior year she was an intern at WABC-TV. While attending GW, Ann studied sociology and journalism.

With more than 10 years’ experience working at various jobs in television news, she has experience covering everything from premieres to politics to breaking news. Ann is thrilled to join the team here at INSIDE EDITION.

Mercogliano has been a reporter in New York City for the past 5 years working most recently at WPIX-TV and WCBS-TV, covering almost every major news story including Hurricane Sandy. Previously, Mercogliano worked for News 12 Networks and WNBC’s “New York Live” where she covered celebrity news, movie red carpets, and the Royal Wedding in London for which she received an Emmy nomination. Prior to that, Mercogliano worked at WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, PA where she worked in the Lebanon County Bureau for two years. Her first reporting job brought her to Valdosta, GA, where she reported for WCTV and served as Bureau Chief. After graduation, Mercogliano pursued her dream of a career in journalism working on various assignment desks in New York City including WNBC-TV, WCBS-TV and NY1. Mercogliano was born in Manhattan and grew up in the New York area.
