The person who was taken into custody has been identified as Florida resident Cesar Sayoc Jr., 56, according to several reports. DNA evidence reportedly played a role in his apprehension.

On Friday morning, two more suspicious packages were found addressed to New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, as well as one to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

On Wednesday, the Time Warner Center in New York City, which houses the New York headquarters of CNN, was evacuated after a device, sent to former CIA Director John Brennan, care of CNN, was discovered. The package was later transported through the streets of Manhattan in a special blast-proof truck.
