Coachella and Lollapalooza Music Festivals Ban Selfie Sticks
The music festival season is upon us. Artists from every genre will grace stages across the country. But, two major festivals, Coachella and Lollapalooza, are banning a very popular item – the selfie stick.
Sorry festival-goers, you are going to have to take selfies the old fashion way, by extending your arm and clicking the button with your thumb.
Coachella posted on their website “Selfie sticks/Narsisstics” wouldn’t be allowed. While, Lollapalooza posted “GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks and monopods,” are prohibited. The organizers of the festival find that the sticks and attachments are a potential hazard to revelers, and also quite obnoxious.
Coachella takes place over two weekends next month in California and Chicago’s Lollapalooza happens at the end of July.
We at INSIDE EDITION know that it may be hard work to do a selfie the old way, but we know you can do it!
