It's TV's biggest night and INSIDE EDITION is on the red carpet with the brightest stars in Hollywood at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards.
INSIDE EDITION reports from the red carpet at the Nokia theater in Los Angeles for one of Hollywood's most exciting events, the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. This is the night the world of television celebrates the best, and as always, it's a glittery affair.
The women of Mad Men created the biggest buzz on the red carpet.
"It's a dream," said Christina Hendricks.
And Hendricks looked like a dream in her eye-popping Zac Posen dress, custom-made to fit her famous curves.
INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville asked, "Why do you think the show has connected the way it has?"
"The writing is so smart. It's very stylish and sexy, and I think all those things put together and people are really liking it," said Hendricks.
Her co-star, January Jones was a vision in a unique strapless dress.
Norville asked, "Is it fun to wear or difficult?"
"It's fun. It's short in front, so I'm not tripping, but people are tripping over the back," said Jones.
The remarkable year of 88-year-old Betty White was the talk of the night.
Noville said to White, "It's wonderful to see a whole new generation absolutely in love with you."
"I don't necessarily believe that, but I love to hear it," said White.
Comedian Kathy Griffin brought her mom as her date.
Norville asked, "What's the most fun?"
"Bringing my mom. She gets to meet the stars, and I use the term 'stars' loosely because Ryan Seacrest is here," said Griffin.
You expect to see some famous couples at an affair like the Emmys. Newlyweds Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who co-star in True Blood, put off their honeymoon so they could present an Emmy.
Remaining picture perfect on a steamy red carpet isn't easy. INSIDE EDITION saw Friday Night Lights nominee Connie Britton doing a lipstick check in the shiny clutch of Modern Family nominee Julie Bowen.
INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville caught up with Neil Patrick Harris who is expecting twins, due this fall through a surrogate.
Noville said, "You're about to become a dad."
"Yes," replied an excited Harris.
Norville asked, "How much do you think your life is going to change when the babies arrive?"
"I'm hoping to have a staff of eight, nine or ten people, so I'll probably never see them," joked Harris.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret caught up with the country's most famous mom, Kate Gosselin of Kate Plus Eight.
Moret asked, "Emmys, have you been here before?"
Gosselin replied, "No, first Emmys!"
Gosselin made a cameo in the Glee-inspired opening act, which earned big laughs and rave reviews.
Moret asked, "You're on TV, but you're still at the heart a mom. Do you have favorite stars you want to see?"
"I'm dying to see Michael C. Hall from Dexter and Jim Parsons from Big Bang Theory. I'm so in love with him," said Gosselin.
Moret also spoke to Paula Abdul, saying, "I knew if you left Idol it would be upheaval and that's what it is. What do you think is going to happen?"
"I'm always going to be a fan of that show, it's going to be successful," said Abdul.
Not all the action was on the red carpet. There was plenty backstage in our INSIDE EDITION one-on-one room.
Claire Danes dedicated her best actress in a TV movie award to the autistic woman who inspired her role, Temple Grandin.
"It was thrilling and sureal in the best way, and it was very special to have Temple and her mother here to celebrate with us." said Danes.
Moret asked, "Were you nervous?"
"I was, yeah, of course. It's scary," said Danes.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret was backstage with Jim Parsons, Outstanding Lead Actor in a comedy series, The Big Bang Theory.
"I'm stunned. I really am. It's weird to hear you say it," said Parsons.
Moret asked, "Who's the first person that you want to talk to?"
"My mother," said Parsons.
Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, a winner for Best Supporting Actor, had just reached his family when he stopped by our one-on-one room and said, "They're losing their minds, just screaming and crying."
Moret also spoke to Glee's Jane Lynch, the Best Supporting Actress in a comedy.
Moret asked, "What do you think Sue Sylvester would say about this?"
"It's about time! How about you give me 10 more of these for the next 10 years," said Lynch.
In her acceptance speech, Lynch had a special thank you to make, saying, "I love you, my wife Laura."
INSIDE EDITION spotted Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet, who won Best Supporting Actor, receiving congrats from one of his heros.
Moret said, "John Lithgow is congratulating you."
"Cool. He also told me my speech was good, which I'm gonna go with, because I don't remember anything about my speech," said Stonestreet.
And behind the scenes cameras captured the stars kicking back. George Clooney was spotted with his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, and later Clooney cracked up with Al Pacino.
Modern Family's Sofia Vergara and Eva Longoria-Parker did their own primping before taking the stage, and January Jones was spotted grabbing a bite.
