Britney Spears is hitting back over the claim that she was beaten by her boyfriend, calling it "completely and utterly false."
Spears's spokesman told INSIDE EDITION that her boyfriend, agent Jason Trawick, has "never laid a hand on Britney."
As for the recording of a phone call purportedly between Spears and her former husband Jason Alexander, Spears's spokesman says, "The audio recording...is so obviously fake as to be laughable."
Spears and Trawick put on a united front after the story broke and the audio was posted on the internet. She was at his side as he left his office in Los Angeles.
The audio of the phone call supposedly between Spears and Jason Alexander was posted by RadarOnline. Alexander, who was married to Spears for just 55 hours in 2004, says, "I completely stand behind my story…that is absolutely my ex-wife Britney Spears on that tape."
But Spears's spokesman calls the entire RadarOnline tape as well as a story in Star magazine "a complete fabrication" and says, "Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years."
Star magazine and RadarOnline, which are owned by the same company, say they stand by the story.
