Behind the Scenes at Super Bowl XLIV
It was a victory for the New Orleans Saints, but it was also a victory for the city that all of America has been rooting for since the devastating Hurricane Katrina.
"We just believed in ourselves and we knew that we had an entire city and maybe even an entire country behind us," Saints quarterback Drew Brees told cameras as he accepted the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The stadium was filled with A-list celebrities. INSIDE EDITION caught up with hardcore Saints fan Brad Pitt, who owns a home in the Big Easy and had no doubt his team would win the Super Bowl.
Son Maddox was by his side, and the pair made their way inside the stadium to the delight of fans. Inside their luxury box, Pitt hugged Angelina Jolie.
Celebrities were out in force at Super Bowl XLIV. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were there, cheering on the sidelines. Kutcher, who was celebrating his 32nd birthday, snapped photos and played coy about which team he was supporting.
"Who you rooting for?" asked INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent.
"The good guys!" said Kutcher.
Tom Cruise was also there, cradling little Suri as he entered the stadium along with son Conner.
And INSIDE EDITION was right there after Queen Latifah kicked things off with "America the Beautiful."
"It felt nervous and exciting and I'm glad it's over," she said afterwards.
Carrie Underwood sang the National Anthem and then was hustled through the crowd by security.
"It was awesome, a great feeling," said Underwood.
Before the Saints wrapped up their amazing come-from-behind victory, INSIDE EDITION spotted John Travolta making an early exit. He explained he was leaving early because "if I don't, I get mobbed too much."
Hero quarterback Drew Brees was overcome with emotion after the stunning victory. His wife and 1-year-old son Baylen came out to celebrate with him. Baylen wore headphones to protect his ears from the roar of the crowd.
