Alec Baldwin Rushed to Emergency Room

Alec Baldwin was rushed to the hospital late at night after his daughter called 911. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

A disheveled Alec Baldwin hides his face at two in the morning as he returns to his Manhattan residence after being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance!

The 51-year old actor was taken to the emergency room after his daughter found him "unresponsive" inside his 22nd floor luxury apartment.

According to a law enforcement official, Baldwin's 14-year old daughter Ireland called 911 just after midnight and reportedly told the operator that she and her father had gotten into an argument and that he "threatened to take pills" according to the Associated Press.

Alec Baldwin was rushed by ambulance to Lenox Hill hospital on Manhattan's upper east side, in the middle of the great blizzard of 2010. He was examined by doctors who verified that the actor wasn't in a medical crisis, and they released him one hour later."

Baldwin's spokesman told INSIDE EDITION, "This was a misunderstanding on one person's part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he's completely fine and is at work today."

A source close to Baldwin insisted, "There were no drugs. There was no alcohol. There were no pills and there was no threat of pills."

Baldwin looked a wreck when he returned to the apartment. He briefly spoke to his doorman before heading upstairs.

Baldwin and his daughter have had a rocky relationship in the past. In 2008, the star of 30 Rock left a now infamous voice mail for Ireland after she failed to take his phone call, saying, "You are a rude, thoughtless, little pig. I am going to get on a plane and I'm gonna straighten your a-- out."

Baldwin apologized, blaming his anger and frustration on his bitter custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

The mysterious hospital visit could not come at a worse time for Baldwin. He's co-hosting this year's Oscars with Steve Martin in just 24 days.
