Judge Gives Lindsay Lohan More Time to Consider Plea Deal

Judge Keith Schwartz gave Lindsay Lohan more time to consider taking a plea deal with jail time before going to trial. INSIDE EDITION has more.

Lindsay Lohan walked into a Los Angeles courthouse wearing a body-hugging leather minidress by Raquel Allegra, black tights, and Chanel booties. It's a somewhat more conservative look than her recent court appearances. Lohan's mother Dina and sister Ali were right behind her.

Lohan was also wearing a pricey Judith Ripka "evil eye" necklace that she had received as a gift. The troubled starlet may be accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace, but apparently top designers still want her to be seen in their creations.

No-nonsense Judge Keith Schwartz was not happy that details of the confidential negotiations have been leaked.

Lohan rejected a plea deal that would have sentenced her to a reported 30 to 60 days behind bars. She's said to be desperate to avoid any jail time.

Judge Schwartz gave Lohan two more weeks to consider the plea deal. If she rejects it again, she goes before a new judge on April 22nd, for a preliminary hearing.

"There has not been one indication that she is not going to go to jail. First of all, every person in Los Angeles County on probation with a new case like this would be likely doing 30, 60, 90 days in county jail at a minimum," says criminal defense attoreny Robin Sax.

Lohan is due back in court on March 25th.
