Oprah Plans for the Future

Oprah Winfrey took to the internet letting her fans know she hasn't completely deserted them, and will be spending some time with her mom on her vacation. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Since we no longer see Oprah in our living room at 4 pm, INSIDE EDITION was wondering: What's Oprah doing now that her show's wrapped? The talk show host took to her Facebook to share her plans for the next chapter of her life.

"After a visit to my mother, I'm gonna take a break, find some sun, and get some REST," she posted.

Oprah's mom, 75-year-old Vernita Lee, currently resides in Milwaukee. She was last seen in public on the show when Oprah revealed her long-lost half sister this past January. Oprah's mother had given her half sister up for adoption.

"Why didn't you want to own up to it?" Oprah asked her mother. The moment was extremely tense, and it's been reported that Lee felt blindsided.

On Oprah's big finale, she reflected on how her parents' didn't exactly shower her with affection in her childhood. "A lonely little girl, who felt not a lot of love even though my parents and grandparents did the best they could."

Talk about an interesting family dynamic!

Oprah also had this message to her fans: "I hear so many of you saying you're sad to see the show leave. Instead of sadness, I hope you will channel the energy of hopefulness you received from the show in whatever form it gave to you."

Although we miss her terribly, we're happy to hear that Lady O is finally getting some much-deserved R&R.
