Naomi Campbell Allegedly Attacks Driver

Naomi Campbell does it again. The temperamental supermodel is accused of repeatedly hitting her chauffeur in the head. INSIDE EDITION has the story on why she allegedly became so enraged.

INSIDE EDITION is learning more about that explosive fight during which Naomi Campbell allegedly attacked her chauffeur from the backseat of a Cadillac Escalade. It started when the chauffeur picked up Naomi at New York's Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

At 58th Street and Second Avenue, the notoriously ill-tempered supermodel reportedly pummeled the chauffeur in the head and wouldn't stop. He told cops Naomi actually slammed his head into the steering wheel, leaving a bruise under his left eye. The chauffeur pulled over and summoned a traffic agent, at which point Naomi jumped out of the limo and ran down the street, fleeing the scene before police could get there.

In the end, the chauffeur declined to file charges. Naomi's spokesman said, "there shouldn't be a rush to judgment. Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to the story than meets the eye."

So what caused the blow up? Naomi was reportedly furious that the chauffeur refused to tell her whether her boyfriend, a Russian-born billionaire, was cheating on her.

"She thought the driver was covering for (her boyfriend)," a police source told the New York Post.

The drama is the latest in which Naomi has been accused of abusing the hired help. She  pleaded guilty to assault for hitting an assistant in 2000. She allegedly slapped and beat another assistant in 2005. She was accused of attacking a maid over a lost pair of jeans in 2006. And she admitted to throwing a cell phone at another maid the same year, causing an injury that left her uniform stained with blood.

"Naomi Campbell's temper has become legendary. She has been assaulting people who work for her for 10 years now," said Bonnie Fuller, president and editor in chief of Hollywoodlife.com.

Naomi has been sentenced to anger management classes and community service, when a NYPD officer was famously photographed carrying her bag. She finished up her service wearing no less than a Versace gown.
