Abercrombie & Fitch Reportedly Asks The Situation to Shop Elsewhere
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has something to say about Abercrombie & Fitch's offer to pay him not to wear their clothing on Jersey Shore.
"Looks like Abercrombie got themself into a Situation!" he tweeted. Followed by a link to a finance article noting that the brand's stock had dipped by 9%.
And The Situation's co-star Pauly D had his own comment, calling the brand out on Twitter for reportedly previously selling shirts with the gang's famous catch phrase "GTL" which means gym, tan, laundry.
But was the whole thing just a publicity stunt set up by Abercrombie & Fitch? A headline in today's Business Section of The New York Times says, "Abercrombie Wants Off 'Jersey Shore' (wink-wink)."
MTV, agrees saying, "It's a clever P.R. stunt, and we'd love to work with them on other ways they can leverage Jersey Shore to reach the largest youth audience on television."
