Battle of the Holiday Movie Box Office

The movie studios bring out the big guns each holiday season, and this year is no exception. INSIDE EDITION takes a look at some of the movies expected to draw big audiences this holiday week.

From a war horse to an animated dog to a hunky secret agent—they're all fighting to bring you into movie theaters this Christmas.

Steven Spielberg is expected to dominate the box office with two heartwarming flicks. War Horse is an adaptation of an award winning play. There usually isn't a dry eye in the house during this story of a courageous horse and the young man who follows him to battle during World War I.

Tara McNamara from fandango.com told INSIDE EDITION, "War Horse is actually very inspiring. It's about courage. It's perfect for holiday time."

Spielberg is also out with The Adventures of Tintin. This time it's a boy and his dog that will win your heart.

But not all the movies are feel good. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, based on the best-selling book, stars Daniel Craig as a journalist who works with a troubled young computer hacker to find a missing woman.

The movie has got big competition from flicks that are already out but still going to draw big audiences over Christmas break.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a big, loud crowd pleaser.

Tom Cruise is back in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

"It's one of the best Mission Impossible movies, but more importantly, one of the best movies of the year," said McNarama.

And America's sweetheart Sandra Bullock is back as a 9/11 widow starring opposite Tom Hanks in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
