Lindsay Lohan Reviewed as "Worst SNL Host" of the Year

Linsday Lohan marked her comeback by hosting Saturday Night Live to decidedly mixed reviews. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

The Worst Host of the Year. That's what Entertainment Weekly is calling Lindsay Lohan today after her disastrous Saturday Night Live hosting stint.

The show started off promisingly with Lohan making fun of her legal troubles when an alarm went off as she stepped off the stage.

"Wait, the alarm goes off when I leave the stage? I thought it was when I left he building," joked Lohan.

And she did well in a taped spoof called "Real Housewives of Disney." But it was all downhill from there.

Lohan needed cue cards and blew her lines. Her line of sight showed she was looking at the cue cards off-camera, barely taking notice of SNL cast member Andy Sandberg.

"This may be the first time Lindsay Lohan had trouble doing lines," cracked one tweet.

Another wrote: "The only thing Lindsay Lohan seems addicted to is the SNL cue cards."

SNL castmembers leaving the show defended Lohan's work.

"She was wonderful," said Fred Armisen.

On the Today show Mad Men star Jon Hamm, who had a cameo on SNL, said he was surprised by the negative reaction.

"I was bummed about it. I was sitting right there. I thought she did great, "said Hamm.

INSIDE EDITION viewers voted in our online poll. 21% said she did great. 31% said it was a disaster. 15% said she was the worst host ever.

Lohan's mom Dina Lohan, usually her biggest cheerleader, was in attendance at the show and seemed a little disappointed, tweeting: "Onward and upward." She also quoted Marilyn Monroe: "Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

Right after the show, Lohan made her way through a crush of photographers to the SNL afterparty. She stayed until 3:00 a.m. and, we're told, she didn't touch a drop of alcohol.
