Desperate Housewives Feud Put in Spotlight

Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit has put the spotlight on the feuds that went on behind-the-scenes of Desperate Housewives. INSIDE EDITON reports.

How nasty can it get in Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit against Desperate Housewives?

Executive producer Marc Cherry told the jury that Sheridan and co-star Teri Hatcher had a bitter feud and here's the scene that sparked it all:

Sheridan and Hatcher, sitting in a rowboat, got into an argument and fight over dispersing the ashes of a character from the show.

Marc Cherry testified what was really going on behind-the-scenes was Hatcher went ballistic, saying Sheridan couldn't remember her lines. He was called to the set to calm things down.

"They were furious with each other," Cherry said on the witness stand. "Nicollette pulled me aside and told me that Teri Hatcher was the meanest woman in the world because of how she was acting."

Attorney Royal Oakes told INSIDE EDITION, "It really isn't relavent if Sheridan had a feud with her fellow actors. But it's important to the defense to try to trash her reputation, because if they can get the jury to dislike Nicollette Sheridan, they're not going to vote of her, or they're going to give her peanuts."

The feud between Sheridan and Hatcher isn't the first time in-fighting among the high-profile stars of Desperate Housewives has aired in public.

Remember this famous Vanity Fair cover in 2005 with the all the stars posing in bathing suits? Behind-the-scenes, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria threatened to walk off if they posed with Teri Hatcher in the center. Hatcher wound up on the far left. And guess who took her place in the center? Nicollette Sheridan.
