For the first time in 16 years, Good Morning America took the ratings lead in the morning show battle and INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Good Morning America took the number one spot in the ratings race for the first time in 16 years.
Good Morning America took the crown last week, beating Today by just 13,000 viewers. The last time Good Morning America topped Today was December 1995, when Charlie Gibson and Joan Lunden were co-anchors.
The Today show admitted defeat, saying in a statement, "...as odd as it is to see (the winning streak) end, we should acknowledge just how remarkable it has been. It is not an overstatement to call it one of the most incredible achievements in television history. One that is not likely to ever happen again."
