Erykah Badu's Music Video Controversy

INSIDE EDITION reports on the uproar R&B singer Erykah Badu is causing by stripping down naked in her new music video on the streets of Dallas where JFK was assassinated.

In a shocking video, a naked woman is shot and falls to the ground in the plaza in Dallas where President Kennedy was assassinated almost 47 years ago.

It turns out it's all part of a controversial new music video. The artist is Grammy award-winning singer Erykah Badu.

Condemnation of the video has been swift and furious.

On FOX, Megyn Kelly said, "What an idiot."

Some are calling the video a mockery of an American tragedy on sacred ground.

A member of The Early Show said, "How disrespectful. This is an American president. This is the site where he lost his life."

The singer tweeted about what witnesses in Dealey Plaza shouted at her during her public striptease:

"They were yelling, 'This is a public place, you oughta be ashamed, put your clothes on!' "

As for the young kids who first saw her naked and then get "assassinated," Badu said, "There were children there. I prayed they wouldn't be traumatized."

The video was filmed in one quick take as the singer climbed out of a car and started to completely disrobe.

Even though it has caused such a stir, the singer says she's proud of the music video, calling it "powerful."
