Miss USA 2012 Contestants Blank on Vice President's Name

A new Miss USA was crowned over the weekend and INSIDE EDITION has all the details on the competitions big winner.

There's a new Miss USA!

Her name is Olivia Culpo and she's from our nation's smallest state—Rhode Island.

Culpo beamed as she received her crown Sunday night in Las Vegas.

It was a night of teeny string bikinis and daring dress and jaws dropped during the evening gown competition. Miss Georgia showed lots of skin in her white-hot gown. Miss Texas strutted in a sparkly blue gown with a thigh-high slit, and Miss Maryland sashayed down the steps showing off her glamorous gams.

Eyebrows were really raised when Miss Nevada was asked about an embarrassing moment that aired on Watch What Happens Live.

Miss Nevada was aksed the name of the current vice president, and responded with this, "Oh God. What's his name? This is so bad."

Eleven Miss USA contestants were asked to name the Vice President of the United States. Only six of the girls had the right answer.

Miss Nevada said, "We do know who Joe Biden is. We were up really late, we had a really long night."

In the end, it was the 20-year-old cellist from Rhode Island who knew who Biden was and wowed the judges and will reign as Miss USA 2012.
