Brad Pitt's Mother Gets Death Threats For Gay Marriage Opposition

Brad Pitt's mom has received death threats following a published letter in which she opposed gay marriage. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Brad Pitt's mother, of all people, is getting death threats.

"Brad Pitt's mom, die," is just one of the dozens of taunts on Twitter from people furious over Jane Pitt's public opposition to gay marriage.

"The gay community made your son a star, you whacko," said one angry post.

Whoopi Goldberg asked on The View, "When did it shift so much that we can't disagree without threatening them?"

The death threats were a reaction to a letter Jane Pitt wrote for her hometown newspaper in Springfield, Missouri. In her letter, she endorses Mitt Romney and slams President Obama. She calls the president, "A liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."

Jane's opposition to gay marriage is very different from her son's views. Brad and Angie have said they won't marry until gays are allowed to wed.

Brad's younger brother, Doug, appeared on the Today show and said that Brad and his mom have always been on opposite sides of the political fence.

"I think moms and dads and kids can agree to disagree all over the world, so why would our family be any different? The bad thing is when it turns into venom and negativity and we don't have that in our family," said Doug.
