Sylvester Stallone's Son Found Dead

Sylvester Stallone is mourning the death of his son, Sage, who was found dead in his Los Angeles home at the age of 36. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Sylvester Stallone is in mourning today—grieving the sudden death of his 36-year-old son, Sage.

"This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe," Stallone said in the statement.

Sage made his screen debut alongside his dad in Rocky 5 when he was just 14. His mother was Stallone's first wife, Sasha.

But friends say, in recent years, he became more and more reclusive, living like a hermit and a hoarder.

Sage Stallone was found dead at his home in Studio City, California, by his housekeeper. We're now learning that he may have been dead for several days. The coroner has revealed that bottles of pills were found near the body and one photographer who worked with him recently says, he was clearly struggling.

Robert Rhine worked with Sage Stallone just two months ago. He's the editor-in-chief of Girls and Corpses magazine, a bizarre publication that features pretty girls posing with skeletons. Rhine did a photoshoot at Sage Stallone's house.

Rhine told INSIDE EDITION, "He looked like he was kind of burnt out and kind of spacy. He seemed a little lost and confused. Significantly so, in that you would recognize beyond a normal person, that there's something that this guy's on."

INSIDE EDITION spoke to Sage in 1998, when he was 22. He was upbeat and looking forward to a career as a director, but clearly his life took a dark turn.

His body was carried on a stretcher into a waiting coroner's van. A tragic end that has left his famous dad heartbroken.
