Rihanna opens up to Oprah Winfrey about Chris Brown and how she feels today. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Rihanna in tears. The singer broke down when Oprah Winfrey asked her about ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009.
Oprah asked, "Do you think Chris Brown is a true love for you?"
"It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend," said Rihanna.
The just-released clip is a preview of Oprah's Next Chapter, airing August 19th on the OWN network.
Rihanna says she was devastated by her breakup with Brown.
"I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark," said Rihanna.
You may recall that Oprah made a public plea to Rihanna to leave Brown after the assault that shocked the nation.
Oprah said at the time, "If a man hits you once, he will hit you again."
Now, Oprah says Rihanna was not what she was expecting. The singer got behind the wheel and drove Oprah through the streets of her homeland of Barbados and they visited the neighborhood where she grew up.
