Idol Producers Deny Reports Nicki Minaj's Job Is In Jeopardy

After speculation that Nicki Minaj may be fired from American Idol after her feud with Mariah Carey, INSIDE EDITION has the latest news between the two diva judges.

American Idol executives are flatly denying that Nicki Minaj's job is in jeopardy because of the nasty feud with Mariah Carey.

Carey took a break from the diva battle to ride on the roller coaster at the Santa Monica Pier. She came without her new beefy bodyguards, but hubby Nick Cannon was on hand.

"I am the only body guard she needs," said Cannon.

Cannon is making a stunning claim that Idol producers are orchestrating the so-called feud.

“I think it's theatrics and sensationalism and the media played into it and the network wanted it they are pretty happy about the situation,” said Cannon.

Idol producers are calling reports that Minaj’s firing is imminent "inaccurate" and in a statement to INSIDE EDITION they said, "We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next American Idol.”
