Eagle Snatching Video Editors Speak Out

Eagle Snatching Video Editors Speak Out

Airdate: 12/20/2012

The viral video of a Golden Eagle snatching a baby will surely go down as one of the greatest hoax videos ever

They're computer-animation students from Montréal, Canada, and they created the video using 3-D software.

The eagle swooping down and snatching a kid had a lot of people fooled.

Gale King on CBS This Morning said, "I bought it hook, line, and sinker."

INSIDE EDITION’s Les Trent spoke to the guys that did it.

Trent asked, "You guys had a lot of people fooled"

One of the designers, Normand Archambault, told Trent, "Yeah, we are very happy with it."

The students say they spent 5 months and more than 500 hours making the video. They uploaded it to YouTube on Tuesday. Their teacher promised them an "A" if they got 100,000 views. As of Thursday, they have 18 million views.

This is not the first hoax video the students have made. A 2011 video of a runaway penguin supposedly fleeing a zoo is also their handiwork.

But, it's the eagle video that has earned them an A++!
