The latest season of American Idol has begun and the heat between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj has everyone talking. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
Season 12 of American Idol kicked off Wednesday night, and the ratings are in!
17.8 million viewers tuned in to watch the season premiere. While it was blockbuster numbers, it was down 17% from last year's premiere. It was also the lowest rated Idol season premiere since 2002, despite some amazing talent.
New judge Nicki Minaj stole the show with her antics, carrying on that feud with Mariah Carey.
Carey said, "If she calls me something that begins with a "B" and ends in 'Itch, I am going to rebuke it."
Fellow judge Keith Urban was feeling the heat sandwiched between the two.
Carey doesn't seem to be letting the feud get to her. On Thursday she tweeted a photo of herself watching Idol with one of her twin daughters.
Minaj tweeted that she threw a party for her pals, “Baking brownies & a cake for my American Idol viewing party tonight.”
