Celebrities Speak Out on Gun Control

Airdate: 02/06/2013

Celebrities joined the call for stricter gun laws in Washington today.

Music legend Tony Bennet joined actress Amanda Peet and Chris Rock at a press conference with    gun control advocates.

Bennet said, "I still haven't gotten over Connecticut."

Chris Rock said, "I am here to support the President of the United States."

Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of the late Senator Robert Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968,  also called for action.

"This is a picture of my father Robert Kennedy and me," said Kennedy.

Other famous personalities are expressing opposition to more gun control.

In an interview Bruce Willis said: "If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn't they take all your rights away from you?"

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is being called a hypocrite today after tweeting a photo of a diamon-encrusted "designer" handgun.

The irony is that just a few weeks ago, Kim encouraged her Twitter followers to sign a pledge to combat gun violence.
