Sandra Bullock's Big Life Changes

Sandra Bullock has reportedly bought a home in New Orleans where she plans to raise her new son. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Sandra Bullock is getting her New Orleans mansion all ready for baby Louie. Furniture was delivered to the house in the city's exclusive Garden District that Sandra bought last September. Louie was born in New Orleans, and Sandra says she'll raise him there part of the time.

Sandra told People magazine, "New Orleans is his city, and he is going to know it inside and out."

Now Sandra's father-in-law is speaking out about the adoption that has the nation buzzing.

"He looks like such a sweetheart, and I know Sandra is going to be a fantastic mother," said Larry James.

James continued, saying, "I was really sad to hear that Sandra Bullock filed for divorce. I was hoping that she would give Jesse another chance, but I know that after what he did she can't do that."

Larry James says he's been estranged from his son Jesse for six years. He said, "I know what it's like to lose a son. It will really hurt Jesse."

Sandra is being showered with praise for how she's handling the big changes in her life. A Washington Post column says her dignity and class prove "why we love Sandra Bullock." And Time magazine just named her one of its 100 Most Influential People.

We're also learning that Sandra's divorce from Jesse won't impact the adoption of her precious baby boy.

Vikki Siegler, family law attorney said, "The process continues regardless of whether they're in an intact marriage or not. The argument is she can still be that proper parent. She doesn't need Jesse James to be the co-parent."
