Fox Pulls Episode of "Family Guy" After Boston Bombings

Fox is pulling an episode of Family Guy after pranksters re-edited the episode to resemble the tragedy in Boston. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Fox is yanking an episode of its hit show Family Guy because it takes place at the Boston Marathon.

In the episode, which first aired March 17, Peter Griffin mows down a bunch of marathon runners in his car and wins the race. The episode also contains a now eery scene where a terrorist tricks Peter into detonating a bomb by using a cell phone.

Now, some pranksters have re-edited the program to make it look as if Peter detonates the bomb at the marathon.

Series creator Seth MacFarlane, who recently hosted the Oscars®, is furious, tweeting: "The edited 'Family Guy' clip currently circulating is abhorrent. The (Boston Marathon bombing) was a crime and a tragedy and my thoughts are with the victims."

Fox announced that reruns of the March 17 show would not be airing. The episode was also yanked from Hulu.
