Dr. Conrad Murray Released From Jail

After being released from prison, what will life be like for Dr. Conrad Murrary? INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Dr. Conrad Murray is speaking out after his release from jail.

He told photographers, "I am very happy to be released."

A photographer asked, "Any plans over the next couple days?"

He said, "I am going to be reunited with my family."

Murray looked drawn and noticeably grayer after finishing his sentence for involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson’s death.

So, what was Murray’s first stop after getting out? He went directly to an In-N-Out Burger for a fast food fix after two years of eating jail food. He ordered two double-double burgers, two grilled onions, and fries. The receipt says he ordered it at 12:56 am, just 55 minutes after his release.

Murray's lawyer, Valerie Wass, exchanged angry words with Michael Jackson fans, who are incensed that Murray was freed for good behavior after serving half of his four year sentence.

Wass told an irate fan, "If you weren't so ignorant you would know he wasn't convicted of murder but was convicted of involuntary manslaughter!"

Murray is expected to live at the Santa Monica apartment of his girlfriend Nicole Alvarez. She and Murray have a young son together and she recently told INSIDE EDITION’s Jim Moret that she believes Murray’s life is in danger now that he's free.

Moret asked, “Are you worried for his safety?”

She replied, “Of course I am. I am very worried and I’m worried for the safety of my child as well.”

You'll remember Alvarez got worldwide attention at Murray’s trial for her revealing outfit and a statement that raised a lot of eyebrows.

She said in court, "As a professional actress, my daily duties consist of maintaining my instrument."

A lawyer asked, "What do you mean when you say your instrument, what are you referring to?"

Alvarez said, "Myself."

She has visited Murray in jail twice a week, even though she was one of four girlfriends that testified at his trial.

Now get this, Murray actually wants to practice medicine again. A petition has just been filed to reinstate his doctor's license in Texas.

INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander spoke to his lawyer, Charles Peckham.

Alexander asked, "Do you really think, after all this, that anyone would really want Dr. Conrad Murray as his doctor?"

Peckham said, "You bet. In fact, we have talked to patients right here in Houston and they are ready for him to come back and ready for him to start treating them."

Brian Panish, the lawyer for Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine, said in a statement: "We hope he can never practice medicine again and hurt another patient."

So what else could Conrad Murray do to make a living if he can't be a doctor? He's reportedly considering a singing career and gave a preview to a puzzled Anderson Cooper in a bizarre phone call last year.
