In an interview with Esquire magazine, George Clooney talks about playing basketball with Leonardo DiCaprio, and recent comments by Russell Crowe. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
George Clooney was all smiles while receiving an award over the weekend. Who could guess he's actually embroiled in a perfect storm with two other superstars?
In an explosive interview with Esquire magazine, the Gravity star takes dead aim at Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Clooney says his long-simmering feud with Crowe began when Crowe called him a "sellout" for doing TV commercials, and a "Frank Sinatra wannabe."
"The truth is that (Crowe) did send me a book of poems to apologize for insulting the (blank) out of me," Clooney told Esquire. "He picked a fight with me. He started it for no reason at all."
And Clooney doesn't think much of Crowe's apology.
"I think he said 'I was misquoted,' and I was like 'Yeah, yeah, whatever,' " said Clooney.
Clooney also dissed DiCaprio over the way he and his buddies behaved during a pick-up basketball game, talking trash and vowing to "kick ass." Instead, Clooney and his pals beat them 11-0.
"The thing about playing Leo is you have all these guys talking (blank)," Clooney told Esquire. "(It) made me think of how important it is to have someone in your life to tell you what's what. I'm not sure Leo has someone like that."
