'Duck Dynasty' Patriarch Says He Is "Not A Hater"

Suspended Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson isn't backing down after being suspended from the show for making controversial remarks about gay people. Roberston was defiant in church Sunday, saying his opinion on gays comes straight from The Bible.

He said, "I am just reading what was written over 2,000 years ago. Those who live like this will not inherit the Kingdom."

But Robertson also said, “I love all men and women. I am a lover of humanity, not a hater."

So far, the show's top sponsors are sticking with the program. Under Armor, the biggest sponsor, said Friday they don't agree with Robertson’s comments but added, "We have no plans to change our current relationship."

Cracker Barrel restaurants had moved quickly to remove Duck Dynasty merchandise from their store shelves. Now, they've changed their minds after receiving 32,000 comments of support for Robertson on their Facebook page. The merchandise is back on the shelves.

During Christmas week the network is running more than 35 hours of Duck Dynasty over four days.  The network's chief executive reportedly suspended Robertson out of respect for the network's gay employees and other gays who work on Duck Dynasty.
