Sports Illustrated's 50th Anniversary Swimsuit Issue Is Revealed

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition has arrived and this year three models made the cover. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

It's sexy times three as the 50th anniversary Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue is revealed.

Three stunning beauties are gracing the historic cover: Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen.

The cover was revealed Thursday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel said, “SI goes to great lengths to keep it secret and they have kept it secret until this moment.”

There was speculation that supermodel, Kate Upton, was going get the cover for the third year in a row. But no hard feelings from Upton who tweeted, “Omg! So happy!!! What a gorgeous cover!! Loving the booty for vday!”

There is also video showing the moment the girls found out they were on the cover. The girls were in awe.

Adgal said, "Stop it right now! Are you being serious though?"

So who are the lucky ladies? The twenty-one-year old Nina Agdal appeared on INSIDE EDITION last year when she went to a prom as a dream date for a brainy high school senior from California.  Twenty-eight year old stunner, Lily Aldridge, is a popular Victoria’s Secret Angel. Chrissy Teigen is probably best known as the wife of singer John Legend.

The 50th anniversary edition is also being marked by a bit of controversy. Barbie has her own four-page spread inside the magazine, paid for by the toy manufacturer “Mattel.” With the defiant title, “#Unapologetic,” the doll poses like a real flesh and blood swimsuit model.

Some critics are finding it a little creepy, but a spokesman for Sports Illustrated said, "As with Barbie, every year the swimsuit edition sparks conversations about women and body image, and Sports Illustrated stands unapologetically behind this issue."
