Talk show host Wendy Williams now has her own no-holds-barred romance novel called Hold Me in Contempt.
INSIDE EDITION’s Paul Boyd asked her, “Why a romance novel?”
She said, “Listen, it's spring, it's summer, it's the perfect time of year when many of us go on vacation and we want a good book.”
This is the very first steamy romance novel the popular TV personality has written and she says she got a little help from her fans.

Boyd said, “You actually let your fans, your audience, choose the title and the book cover art.”
She said, “I wouldn't be here or have a good career, without my Wendy watchers, so why not bring them along for the journey? Why not include them?”
The main character is a beautiful prosecutor named Kim who meets a mysterious stranger named King, and there's plenty of sex.
She said, "King is a cross between David Beckham and Justin Timberlake, with the body of Channing Tatum. He's gorgeous and wealthy!"
She has written six previous books, including a best-selling autobiography. Williams turns 50 in July, and says she's just getting started in the world of romance fiction, saying, “I love the process of writing. I'm a reader myself and I wrote this book with passion.”
