Kim Novak Responds to Oscar Night 'Bullies'

Hollywood icon Kim Novak is coming forward saying she was a victim of bullying following her recent Oscar appearance. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

Kim Novak, one of the classic beauties of Hollywood, made a rare and shocking appearance at the Oscars at the age of 81. She was slurring her words with her once exquisite face seemingly ravaged by cosmetic surgery gone bad.

The internet exploded with snarky comments. Even Donald Trump tweeted: "She should sue her plastic surgeon."

Now the actress is fighting back saying she's fed up. "We've got to stand up to these bullies. We have to be stronger than they are and say, 'We're not going to take it anymore,'” she said.

On her Facebook page, the legendary actress admitted that "I've had fat injections in my face. They seemed far less invasive than a face-lift.  In my opinion, a person has a right to look as good as they can, and I feel better when I look better."

At a special screening of one of her classic films, Novak told Turner Classics Movies host Robert Osborne that she made a big mistake on Oscar night, taking a pill to help her relax right in the middle of a crash diet. “So, when I got there I was kind of in a haze, you know? And I shouldn't have done that,” she explained.

Sadly, Novak said she was so upset by the Oscar fallout that she was afraid to leave her Oregon home. She said, "I know how the press is. It wasn't like coming in front of you guys where you feel you're supported and loved and people are there to make you feel better. You don't feel that support behind you. You feel that everyone is there judging."
