Walters hasn't slowed down as her retirement approaches. Just last week, she scored a major scoop, the first interview with V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of the L.A. Clippers scandal.

INSIDE EDITION was invited behind the scenes at The View Thursday. On the set of The View there is a lot of speculation about how Walters will finally sit back and enjoy the view.

Walters blazed trails for so many journalists and she had a special message for Deborah Norville.

"She knows how I feel about her. You and Deborah and women like you who are so much younger, if I have a legacy it's you and Deborah,” said Walters.
