Farrah Fawcett's Death Remembered One Year Later

Hollywood icon Farrah Fawcett's death was overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death on the same day. INSIDE EDITION speaks to Fawcett's close friend who says the actress will not be forgotten.

Another American icon whose death one year ago is being remembered today. Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett.

Her best friend Alana Stewart has just come out with the paperback version of her memoir about her friendship with the TV legend called, My Journey With Farrah.  She is also overseeing a cancer research foundation in Farrah's name, thefarrahfawcettfoundation.org.

"This is a very difficult time coming up on the one year anniversary. I think people will remember her talent, her beauty and that amazing poster. I think she's an inspiration and even though she did die, she still gives hope to people battling cancer," said Stewart.

Farrah died just hours before Jackson's shocking death, but Alana says both stars will always be remembered.

When asked is she feels that Farrah's death will always be overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death, Stewart said, "She always may get a little overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death on the same day, but she won't be forgotten, that's for sure."
