The answer: "Laughing all the way to the bank!"
The question: "What is Jeopardy!'s all-time winningest woman doing these days?"
INSIDE EDITION sat down with Julia Collins to discuss her remarkable, ongoing winning streak on Jeopardy!
"It's been pretty exciting!" said Collins, explaining her secret to sucess is, "a good memory, and I read a lot!"
And would you believe she said quitting her consulting job at the start of this year actually helped her become a Jeopardy! champ?
"It was a blessing in disguise in a lot of ways," said Collins. "Because I wasn't worried about work while I was on the show."
For 20 straight games, Collins has been correct. She's got the buzzer technique down pat.
"You can hit the buzzer once Alex finishes reading the clue," said Collins. "That's the trick - hitting it right when he finishes the clue. Gotta get the rhythm down!"
Everybody is amazed by Collins' astounding success—well, almost everybody. She says she predicted being a champ.
"When I was in the eighth grade, I predicted I'd be a ten-time champ on Jeopardy!" said Collins.
And she doubled that!
Of course, nobody's perfect. Collins missed one final Jeopardy! brain-buster a few games back, but still won the game.
The question that stumped her was "Stephen King borrowed the name of his fictional town Castle Rock from this 1950s novel that greatly influenced him." The answer was Lord of the Flies.
"If you don't know you don't know, and there's not a lot you can do!"
INSIDE EDITION asked Collins one last question:
"This syndicated newsmagazine show has been on the air for 25 years."
"What is Inside Edition?" said Collins. And she was correct yet again.
