Butterfly Steals Spotlight From Flute Soloist

A flautist is being applauded for her grace under pressure at a competition where she kept on playing despite a butterfly landing right on her nose. INSIDE EDITION has more.

It's the charming musical moment causing everyone to smile.

Yukie Ota, a flute player from Chicago, kept right on with her performance, even though a butterfly landed on the bridge of her nose during a high-stakes competition.

Ota was performing at a prestigious competition in Denmark when her uninvited guest came in for a landing.

The flautist did a quick glance upwards to see just what it was that had landed on her, and then pressed on like nothing had happened.

Ota started to sway with the music, but the butterfly wasn't going anywhere.

Ota once again tried to discreetly check it out.

Yep, it was still there!

Finally, Ota reached a pause in the music, and only then did she brush the butterfly away.
