Shocking Rant from Mel Gibson Caught on Tape

A stunning just-released audiotape of an all but hysterical Mel Gibson rants and raves at his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, who seems to be in fear for her life.

Gibson shouted over the phone to Grigorieva, "Just ____ listen to me! Listen to my ____ ranting!"

Grigorieva: "You need medication."

Gibson: "I need a woman. Not a ____ little girl with a ____ dysfuntional ____! (he gasps)  I need a ____ woman!  I don't need medication!  You need a ____ bat to the side of the head!  All right?  How about that?  You need a ____ doctor.  You need a ____ brain transplant.  You need a ____ soul!"

It appears that Grigorieva's accusation that Gibson struck her last January may be backed up by the audiotape.

Grigorieva:  "You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands.  You, what kind of man is that?  Hitting a woman when she's holding a child in her hands!  Breaking her teeth, twice in the face!  What kind of man is that?"

Gibson: "Mmmm, ohh, you're all angry now."

Grigorieva: "You're going to get to - you know what?"

Gibson: "You _____ deserved it."

Grigorieva: "You're going to answer, one day, boy, you're going to answer."

INSIDE EDITION found Grigorieva in Los Angeles over the weekend, but she was reluctant to talk about the tapes, which were recorded earlier this year.

INSIDE EDITION asked, "Do you know who is releasing the tapes?"

Grigorieva said, "Radaronline."

INSIDE EDITION asked, "Do you know who is giving them to Radaronline?"

 "I have no idea," replied Grigorieva.

Dylan Howard is a Senior Editor with radaronline.com where Gibson's entire tirade can be heard.  INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent said, "When you listen to the tapes, he sounds like he's out of control."

"Mel Gibson sounds like a tyrant. He's screaming, he's panting," said Howard.

On the tape, Gibson claims he's been used by Grigorieva.

Gibson: "You should be a woman that ____ supports me, instead of a woman who____ off me and just ___ sucks me dry, and wants, and wants.  And you love me! I don't believe you anymore!"

And he criticizes her style of dress that culminates in a racist rant.

Grigorieva: "I don't walk around in tight clothes, I stay at home for most of the time."

Gibson: "You go out in public and it's a ______ embarrassment to me.  You look like a ____ ____ on heat.  And if you get raped by a pack of ______ it will be your fault!  All right?  Because you provoked it! You are provocatively dressed all the time with your fake boobs. You feel you have to show off."

On The View, Joy Behar gave Gibson a total thumbs-down, saying, "Give me a break Mel. You're an anti-semite, you're a misogynist and you're a racist."

But Whoopi Goldberg stood up for him, saying, "I don't like what he did here, but I know Mel, and I know he's not a racist.  He may be a bonehead.  I can't say he's a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids.  I can't say it."

But don't expect Hollywood to come rallying to Gibson's side any time soon.

Gibson: "Don't you dare hang up on me! You don't care, you don't care."
