President Obama's Favorite Movie Of The Year

The First Family spoke to People magazine about everything from their favorite movies to racial discrimination. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

President Obama says he's been mistaken for a valet and First Lady Michelle says she was once mistaken for a store clerk at Target!

The revelations come in a year-ender interview with People magazine that dealt with turmoil in America following the recent deaths of black citizens at the hands of police.

"There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys,” said the president.

Michelle Obama recalled the time in 2011, when she shopped incognito at a Target in Alexandria, Virginia.

She said, "I mean, even as the First Lady. During that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn't see me as the First Lady.”

The interview turned lighter when the president was asked what his favorite movie of the year is. It's the acclaimed Boyhood.

The first lady says she's read the bestseller Gone Girl. She remarked, "The book is much better than the movie.”

So, what’s his favorite viral video of all time? No surprise here, it is the video of Michelle Obama with a turnip. He said, "I mean let’s face it, who else can make a turnip into a star but Michelle Obama.”
