The Year In Entertainment

INSIDE EDITION looks back at the year in Hollywood, and what a year it was as celebrities made major headlines all year long.

The year of 2014 was one of highs and lows in Hollywood.

Glamorous 36-year-old human rights lawyer named Amal Alamuddin finally got George Clooney to walk down the aisle in the romantic city of Venice.

In the days leading up to the nuptials, Clooney gushed about his bride, saying, "I love you very much, and I can't wait to be your husband."

Clooney's close friends, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, missed his wedding but surprised just about everyone when they secretly got married themselves in an intimate ceremony at their château in France.

Not surprisingly, they did it in a unique fashion. Angelina's dress and veil were covered with doodles drawn by the six Jolie-Pitt children.

Not to be out done, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West also got married overseas in an opulent, nearly weeklong celebration.

Pictures posted by Kim on Twitter show the newlyweds after they said, "I do," against a wall of fresh flowers. In the pictures, you can see baby North in the background.

By year's end, we all saw more of Kim than ever when she bared her most famous asset in a shocking cover shoot. The interior layout showed even more.

While some stars tied the knot, others parted ways, including Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker husband Chris Martin who ended their ten-year marriage and coined a new phrase: "Conscious Uncoupling."

Mariah Carey, and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon also confirmed their breakup.

And rumors were flying about the state of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's marriage after an epic fight in a hotel elevator.

Beyoncé's sister, Solange, went nuts on her brother-in-law. They have yet to say what the fight was all about, but they looked like they put the smackdown behind them when they all partied at Solange's wedding in New Orleans.

The year of 2014 was also the year of the baby.

Mila Kunis looked stunning, showing off her post-baby body during an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, just two months after giving birth. The actress welcomed daughter Wyatt Isabelle with fiancé Ashton Kutcher.

Scandal's Kerry Washington, Hayden Panettiere, and Scarlett Johansson also became first time parents.

However, 2014 was a terrible year for comedian Tracy Morgan. He was marred by a horrifying accident in June on a New Jersey highway when a Walmart truck crashed into his limo. Morgan suffered serious injuries and is still struggling to walk.

Several megastars lost their lives.

Joan Rivers died on September 4th after a routine throat procedure. Her funeral was a star-studded event that included a eulogy by INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville.

Norville said, "It was an unbelieveable service."

Another comedy legend, Robin Williams, committed suicide inside his San Francisco home in August.

Acclaimed actor Philip Seymour Hoffman died of a drug overdose in February.

He was yet another talented star gone too soon.
