Sex in a Box? TV's Edgiest Show Ever Will Shock You

It's the new show that has some people asking if TV has finally gone too far.

It may be the edgiest show ever on TV. On Sex Box, couples have sex in a box and then emerge to talk about it with a panel of therapists in front of a studio audience.

Stephanie Figueroa and her boyfriend, Hector, appeared on the show.

She told INSIDE EDITION, "It's almost romantic, is that a crazy way to put it?"

Hector wanted to try some Fifty Shades of Grey-type role playing but Stephanie was reluctant.

He said, “We talked about it once or twice but she was very adamant like, ‘Nah, that's not my thing.’”

So, they went on the show and tried it out in the box.

One of the therapists said to her, “This is a brilliant way for you to learn and let go and trust Hector.”

There are no cameras in the box and it's soundproof, so the audience never sees or hears what happens.

Hector said, "Once you are in that box, the stage is gone, the camera is gone, the audience is gone, it's just you and your mate."

Inside, there's a bed and some toys to get you in the mood. It's a little bit like Mr. Grey's red room in Fifty Shades.

Dr. Chris Donaghue is a therapist on the show. He says there's actual science behind the Sex Box.

He told INSIDE EDITION, “After sex it is when we feel our most bond and our most calm, so, that is the best time to enter the couple's dynamic and work with them with what is happening.”

But many say the show airing on we TV is just too risqué. The Parents Television Council has even started a petition to get it cancelled.

Melissa Henson of the Parents Television Council told INSIDE EDITION, "This is disgusting. This is appalling. This is shocking. I am concerned that it is going to set a bad precedent that the other cable networks are going to rush to copy and maybe go a little further."

And Jimmy Kimmel couldn't help poking fun at the whole concept, joking, “Have you heard about the show Sex Box? It's from WeTV which is short for ‘We Have No Shame TV."

But Hector and Stephanie have no regrets going into the Sex Box.

She told INSIDE EDITION, "It was great!"

He replied, "It was actually perfect."
