New turmoil at Fashion Police as Kathy Griffin quits after just seven episodes.
Now, everyone's asking what on Earth is going on at that show?
The acid-tongued comic joined Fashion Police in January, taking over the hostess's seat after Joan Rivers' tragic death.
But Griffin stunned fans late Thursday when she issued a long statement announcing her departure.
"My style does not fit with the creative direction of the show," she says.
She also says, "There is plenty to make fun of in pop culture without bringing people's bodies into it...I do not want to use my comedy to contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance toward difference."
Doug Brod, Editor in Chief, TV Guide Magazine and TVInsider.com told INSIDE EDITION, "Why did she ever bother taking that job? It's very odd for her to say that she was unhappy that she had to contribute to that kind of culture. That's what she was hired for."
Others are questioning what the real reason is for her departure.
Tamron Hall said on the Today show, "She knew what the show was, so I don't know if there was something behind the scenes that we don't know what played out."
Griffin's departure is the third Fashion Police bombshell in a month.
Giuliana Rancic caused uproar on the post-Oscars episode when she made this comment about Disney star Zendaya Coleman. "I feel like she smells of patchouli oil, or weed. Maybe weed."
Rancic apologized, but Kelly Osbourne quit a few days later.
Now, Kathy Griffin is gone too. Some think she wanted out anyway because ratings have been disappointing since Joan River's death and she felt the show was doomed.
Brod said, "Joan was a big lynchpin on that show. With her gone, the show certainly lost a big edge."
