Thousands Pay Their Respects to Rev. Clementa Pinckney

Pastor Reverend Clementa Pinckney who was killed during the massacre in South Carolina lies in state as thousands pay their respects.

Thousands of mourners filed past the body of the South Carolina State Senator killed in the Charleston church massacre last week.

Pastor Clementa Pinckney lay in an open casket at the State House with an honor guard of State Troopers.

The body was brought to the State Capitol on a horse-drawn caisson. There was fury that the coffin had to pass beneath the Confederate flag flying over the Civil War Memorial nearby.

A window on the second floor where the body lay was actually covered with a drape so the Confederate flag could not be seen by mourners passing by the casket.

Pinckney's funeral will be held on Friday.
