David Letterman Comes Out of Retirement to Mock Donald Trump

David Letterman made a rare public appearance since retiring in May at a comedy show to make fun of Donald Trump.

Miss Oklahoma has been named the new Miss USA but Donald Trump was not there to see Olivia Jordan’s big night.

Trump says he was unable to attend "... Because I am campaigning in Phoenix."

His controversial remarks about illegal Mexican immigrants were on many minds when Olivia was asked a question during the interview portion: “What is the next big issue America has to tackle?”

“Race relations. We have not solved that problem yet,” she answered.

David Letterman actually came out of retirement this weekend, if only for a night, to mock Trump.

Sporting a full beard, Dave made a surprise appearance with Steve Martin and Martin Short at a comedy show in San Antonio, Texas.

Letterman joked: “I am so happy to be out of the house! I was satisfied, I was content. And then a couple of days ago Donald Trump said he was running for president. I have made the biggest mistake of my life.”

He then delivered a new Top 10 list titled “Interesting Facts About Donald Trump.”

One of his Top 10 gags was “Donald Trump walked away from a moderately successful television show for some delusional bull…oh wait, that’s me.”

While Letterman got laughs at Trump’s expense, the mogul is pouncing on the shocking escape of infamous Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman - known as “El Chapo” or "shorty."

El Chapo slipped out of the prison via a secret tunnel in a shower and now 18 prison guards are being questioned for possible complicity.

Trump tweeted ... "unbelievable corruption and ISA is paying the price. I told you so!"

The tycoon's campaign rally in Phoenix on Saturday drew a huge crowd - the largest turnout yet by any of the GOP hopefuls.

Trump was interrupted by protesters with a banner saying "Stop Hate." He used the opportunity to take another dig at the Mexican government and said: “I wonder if the Mexican government sent them over here. I think so.”
