Twenty years ago, the internet was about chat rooms and dial-up connections - but it was just as addictive for some people.
The average person in 1996 only used the internet for seven hours a week, which seems almost unimaginable today.
But INSIDE EDITION spoke to one woman who bucked the trend and was so addicted that she spent 30 hours online each week.
Her entire life revolved around the habit: she lost friends and even forgot to feed her pets.
